Basotho horses are special to Lesotho, and play an important part in the culture. The are amazingly agile, and can climb the rocky mountainsides of Lesotho. They also have a special step, call a “Basotho triple” which is between a trot and a gallop and reduces the bounce, creating a very smooth and swift run.
