Herdsman in Lephoi

Winter time in Lesotho is tough, it gets extremely cold in the mountains, with the rivers freezing and snow blocking the roads. We witnessed a beautifully sunny week, with the country turned golden against a stark blue sky. The herders have it the hardest, often staying in small rickety huts way up on the mountains, with nothing but a blanket and a balaclava to keep them warm.
