We come across this elderly man at a large gathering near Lesobeng village. It’s getting late and the government officials haven’t arrived yet. It looks like they won’t show up today and all the pensioners waiting here will have to return again. The frustration hangs thick in the air, because for some of these older people, this means they won’t eat tonight. Still some of the men are happy to take some photos, and leap up on their horses to pose on horseback. This gentleman has a very serious look on his face as the sun is setting, shining brightly in his eyes, but also a sign that everyone will have to make their way home soon, with or without pensions.
